ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - Parts of the St. Louis area can expect to see some slick spots in the morning.

Light freezing rain is expected to be patchy, and when it hits the cold ground, ice will form.

Most of the roads in the areahave been treated and shouldn't be a problem by the morning rush.

Those traveling on roads that have not been treated, parking lots, and sidewalks should be careful because they will be slippery.

The precipitation was originally estimated to arrive between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m. Friday morning, but it appears it could move into the area earlier.

The skies should be dry by 8 a.m.
