ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KSDK) - A jury returned from deliberations Friday to deliver a guilty verdict against a St. Louis man accused of beating his two-year-old son to death.

Aaron Lucy, 32, was charged with first-degree murder, child abuse resulting in death, evidence tampering and two counts of armed criminal action in the death of his son, Kyle.

The fatal beating occurred at a home in the 6900 block of Chippewa on the night of December 26, 2010. The two-year-old boy suffered injuries to his head, arms and legs.

Prosecutors said Aaron Lucy beat his son repeatedly with a hard object, leaving bruises on the child's head. When emergency responders arrived, they found both Lucy and the child naked and covered in blood. The little boy was unconscious on the floor of the home.

Police said the child had severe head trauma but did not disclose what weapon was used to attack the boy.

Aaron Lucy will be sentenced April 18.
