ST. LOUIS Co. (KSDK) - A local high school principal is retiring after more than three decades of service.

Dr. Greg Densberger will retire from De Smet Jesuit High School after 31 years, effective May 31, 2013.

The search for a new principal will begin immediately, and Dr. Densberger has agreed to remain at the school to help the president with long-term strategic planning.

During Dr. Densberger's time with the school, 7,175 young men have graduated from De Smet, which is 77 percent of all graduates of the school.
