ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - St. Louis homicide detectives are looking into a north city murder after a man stumbled into a local gas station with a gunshot wound.

The shooting happened just before 11 p.m. Monday near the corner of Grand and Natural Bridge.

Police said 46-year-old Stacey Adell was running to the Mobil gas station with a gunshot wound to the stomach. He was transported to the hospital and died from his wounds minutes later.

Police used K-9 units overnight to try and track down the original scene of the shooting, but were not successful.

The investigation is ongoing and no one is in custody, police said.
