RICHMOND HEIGHTS, Mo. (KSDK) -- Richmond Heights Police say a woman was assaulted and robbed in a parking garage at SSM St. Mary's Health Center on Clayton Road. It happened around noon Saturday in the garage at 6400 Clayton Road.

Police say the woman was injured, though Detective Sgt. Jerry Rohr did not know what condition she was in. She was transported to a hospital and the attacker did get away with some of the woman's personal belongings.

Police would say only her attacker was male. Hospital security blocked off the entrance to the parking garage. Inside, police cordoned-off a section of the parking garage on an incline between levels 2 and 3.

Officials at SSM St. Mary's released this statement:
"Earlier today our Security Department responded to a reported robbery and assault in a parking garage. The safety of our patients, visitors and employees is a top priority. We are working closely with the Richmond Heights Police Department to investigate."
