ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KSDK) - The Parkway School District's future is looking a little brighter.

Tuesday morning Parkway students put on their shades to help the district celebrate the installation of solar energy.

The 825 kilowatt system is expected to save the district money, even during its first year.

The panels were installed in all of the district's 33 buildings, making it the largest rooftop solar project in the state.

Parkway is the first to adopt solar energy across the district.
