FERGUSON, Mo.(KSDK) - It was the one thing their eight kids dreamed of but that mom and dad had never been able to provide. Wednesday afternoon a local organization helped them go from hardship to hope.

The children and their parents moved into their Ferguson home just last month. Just as the four of the children got off the school bus Wednesday, the Ashley Furniture Homestore truck was coming around the corner. But little did the little ones know that their beds, the first ones they'd ever have, were inside.

The generous gift came from the organization "A Hope to Dream," created by Ashley Furniture. Its members learned about the children from their social worker, who knew just how tough times had been over the last year. The family had to move out of their home because it was inhabitable, and then at the next location, a swastika was burned into their front lawn. The experiences left them homeless for many months.

"A Hope to Dream" has donated beds to nearly 200 children in our area.
