ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - James Buford, president of the Urban League of St. Louis since 1985, is about to retire. Next week the Urban League's annual dinner will serve as a tribute to Buford.

The Urban League dinner honoring Buford is Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Millennium Hotel ballroom in downtown St. Louis.

Newschannel 5's Art Holliday asked the community leader to reflect on 29 years as head of the organization, his role as an activist, and his signature bow ties.
