WAVERLY, Iowa (KWWL/CNN) - A father and son were killed Thursday after they became trapped in a grain bin.

The video above is of crews working to rescue the men.

Fire officials say the two were doing maintenance work when they became trapped in eight to ten feet of corn.

"The issue was having to cut through the side of the grain bin in order to access them so that's what took the most time. Because they couldn't come out the top because of the restriction for the height," said Chief Dennis Happel of the Waverly Fire Department.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration will investigate the accident.
