Shrewsbury, Mo (KSDK) -- St. Patrick's Day is more than just parades and green beer. A Shrewsbury family has been preparing for more than six weeks for their feast.

Maureen Hoock has been soaking her beef in a brine for six weeks. She is making corned beef for a St. Patrick's Day party where she will host 100 to 150 people.

Hoock let NewsChannel 5 into the kitchen for her party preps and introduced us to her son Bobby, an Irish dancer.
