ST. LOUIS (KSDK) -- A dog that was shot 12 times and left in a dumpster to die will be star of an upcoming art exhibit.

Stray Rescue saved OP last September.

OP will now be the star of the Urban Wanderers Art Exhibit at the Saint Louis University Museum of Art. The theme is the "Plight of the Street Dog."

Stray Rescue nursed OP back to health, and thanks to a custom built cart, OP can get around well.

The exhibition openingwill be open March 22 with a reception beginning at 6 p.m.The free exhibition will run through May 5.

All art on display will be available through an online auction. Bidding will begin on March 22 and 100 percent of the proceeds will go to helping homeless dogs and cats.
