ST. LOUIS (KSDK Sports) - The bullpen was thought to be a strength of this year's Cardinals, but early on it has not.

Today, Trevor Rosenthal surrenderedan eighth inning lead and Mitchell Boggs gave up seven runs in 1/3 of an inning, as the Cardinals fell 13-4 to the Reds in the home opener.

Lost in the debacle was a good start by Jaime Garcia. The lefty went 6 2/3 innings, allowed three runs and struck out a career high 10 batters in the no decision.
