(KSDK Sports) -- NFL.com and USA Today's Mike Garafolo are reporting the St. Louis Rams and backup quarterback Kellen Clemens have agreed to return on a one-year, league-minimum contract that he plans to sign Tuesday.
Clemons, 29, made all of three passes last season behind starting quarterback Sam Bradford. He's expected to battle Austin Davis for the number 2 slot.
On Monday, the Rams began phase one of their off-season workouts and the majority of players, including Rodger Saffold have reported to Rams Park to begin their offseason workout programs.
Other players back in town and reportedly "raring to go," include
middle linebacker James Laurinaitis, CB Janoris Jenkins, QB Sam Bradford, DE Chris Long, receivers Chris Givens, Austin Pettis and Brian Quick.
Phase One of the workout consists of conditioning and weight lifting work. Phase one will continue through April 26.

Rookie Mini-camp - May 9 - May 12
Phase III - Field Work/Organized Team Activities: May 21, 23, 24, June 3, 4, 6, 7, 11, 13, 14.
