ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - So many people were hurt Monday in the Boston Marathon explosions. They had horrible injuries from that shrapnel, and any mass casualty incident can overwhelm a community's hospitals and medical centers.

Dr. Grant Bochicchio is the chief of Acute and Critical Care Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes -Jewish Hospital, and he joined First @ 4 Tuesday to talk about the challenges first responders face on the scene moments after a bombing.
