ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers St. Louis District has closed three locks due to high water.

Mississippi River Locks 24 in Clarksville and 25 in Winfield were closed Saturday, as well as the lock on the Kaskaskia River.

By closing the locks, critical components and facilities will be protected and able to restore services quickly after the water recedes.

The Mel Price Lock in Alton and Lock 27 in Granite City are not expected to close.
