ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - A precautionary boil order advisory is still in effect for the St. Louis Hills neighborhood Tuesday.

About 25 homes near the water main break at Jamieson and Westway are without water.

Maggie Crane, communications director for Mayor Francis Slay, said forestry is in the process of removing a large oak tree so that water crews can repair the main. It may be fixed this afternoon and then water would be restored to all homes.

Others living near the main break are experiencing low water pressure, which is one reason why the precautionary boil water advisory remains in effect.

Residents living in the following area should boil water for three minutes before drinking, food preparation, and brushing teeth:

South of Arsenal
West of Hampton
North of Eichelberger
East of River Des Peres

The city is waiting on water sample tests to come back late this afternoon to determine whether any bacteria got into the water lines; however, the Water Division saw no evidence of such.
