ST. ANN, Mo. (KSDK) - One man is in custody and another is still at large after a police chase, carjacking, and foot pursuit.

Lt. Aaron Jimenez with the St. Ann Police Department says around 5 p.m. an officer tried to stop a vehicle for a failure to yield at the intersection of St. Charles Rock Road and Ashby.

The vehicle sped away from police and hit another vehicle on St. Charles Rock Road.

The two men fleeing police got out of their vehicle and carjacked the driver of the car they hit.

Lt. Jimenez says the men led police on a chase into the City of St. Louis with the driver still in the car.

When they got to the 5200 block of Robin in north St. Louis the suspects jumped out of the vehicle and started to run.

One suspect was captured. His name will be released if charges are filed.

The second suspect, identified as Charles Staples. Police say he should be considered to be armed and dangerous. Anyone who knows Staples' whereabouts should call police.

The victim who was abducted was unharmed.
