ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - The Ronald McDonald House Charities of St. Louis and the Eye Care Charity of Mid-America will provide eye exams and glasses to children while the visit elementary and middle schools throughout the area.

The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile will be able to diagnose and treat problems early.

RMCM is staffed with license optometrists who volunteer to provide the eye exams that are free to underprivileged children in the area.

If a child needs glasses, they can choose from a variety of new frames housed inside the RMCM.

The mobile clinic traveled to Hazelwood Middle School three times in March and examined 30 students. Twenty-seven of those students received glasses.

In September, the RMCM will start visiting up to three schools per week.
