ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - A man who was walking away from a north St. Louis home early Thursday is now in the hospital with two bullet wounds to his leg.
The 33-year-old victim told police he was leaving a home in the 5100 block of Wabada Avenue around 2:40 a.m. today when a man began chasing him down the block, firing a gun.
The victim was struck once in the foot and once in his thigh. He called police after being attacked. The gunman fled the scene before officers arrived.
The unidentified victim was then taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries. The investigation continues.
