St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - A late night jogger had his cellular telephone taken, after he was struck in the head by a group of young people in south St. Louis overnight.
The unidentified victim told police he was jogging in the 6200 block of Leona around 12:15 a.m. Thursday when he came upon five people near the corner of Leona and Bowen.
One of the group struck the victim in the head, while another grabbed his phone and the group fled. The victim told police he did not see any type of weapon.
Not long after the crime, police identified three of the people they say were involved in the attack.
Two women and a man were arrested and taken into police custody. The search for two other men involved in the crime are still being sought.
