FRONTENAC, Mo. (KSDK) - Amazing stories of heroism were told Thursday morning at the American Red Cross Lifesaver of the Year Awards.
Thirty-four lifesavers were honored in 10 categories. Each of the winners acted heroically to save the life of another.
Winners include a nurse who performed CPR, a military staff sergeant who risked his life to save another man, and a third grader who performed the Heimlich maneuver on a classmate who was choking.
NewsChannel 5's Kay Quinn emceed the second annual breakfast, held at the Frontenac Hilton.
