BELLEVILLE, Ill. (KSDK) - A Highland, Ill. man has been charged with allegedlyleaving a death threat on the Belleville city clerk's voicemail.

Aaron Rogier, 27, has been charged with disorderly conduct. Police say he told them he was intoxicated when he called City Hall on Friday night.

The voicemail was left on City Clerk Dallas Cook's phone, and asked Mayor Mark Eckert to please kill Cook.

Rogier is out on bail.
