ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - Before you know it, Independence Day will be here, so we want you to know about all of the fireworks displays and festivities going on in the greater St. Louis area. This guide will be updated through the holiday, so be sure to check back for more information.

Fair Saint Louis will be back for the 33rd year on the grounds of the Gateway Arch. The grounds are operated by the National Park Service, and attendees will have to pass through security checkpoints when entering the fair.

Outside food, coolers, and glass containers will not be permitted inside the fair, with the exception of one plastic bottle filled with a non-alcoholic beverage. There will be more than 30 food and beverage vendors at the fair. Solicitation on the grounds is also prohibited.

A diaper changing table and picnic tables will be set up in the Kids Zone.

7 a.m.: Fair Saint Louis will kick off with the second annual Freedom 4 Miler at 7 a.m. and 1 Mile Family Fun Run at 8:30 a.m. Entry fees start at $30 for the four mile run and $15 for the one mile run.Click here for more information on the runs and to register.
9:30a.m.: The 136th annual Veiled Prophet Parade, which begins at the Central Library on a new route. This year's theme is "It's About Time."

METRO EASTCELEBRATION
Malcolm W. Martin Memorial Park on the banks of the East St. Louis riverfront will also host 4th of July festivities. During the daytime, visitors can watch scheduled Gateway Geyser eruptions, which match the height of the Gateway Arch. Visitors can also watch the Fair St. Louis Airshows from this location, and the Fair St. Louis fireworks displays.

At 5 p.m. on July 4 and 5 family-friendly events such as free face painting, caricature drawings, balloon art, an inflatable obstacle course, hot air balloon display, magic shows, juggling and fire performances, carnival games, and a circus workshop will begin.

From 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on July 4, the Shades of Blue Jazz Ensemble from Scott Air Force Base will perform.

Refreshments will be available for purchase beginning at 11:30 a.m. on July 4 and 5, and at 4:30 p.m. July 6.

Organizers say parking is limited, and visitors are encouraged to carpool or take the MetroLink to the East St. Louis Riverfront location.

The park will close after downtown St. Louis fireworks conclude. The Mississippi River Overlook will close each night at 8:30 p.m. before the fireworks display.

Attendees must follow the rules of the park. The following items are prohibited: alcohol, weapons, fireworks or sparklers of any kind, glass containers, grills, and pets (except for service animals). Bags, backpacks, coolers, containers, and purses will be searched upon entry, and all people are subject to search.

SUMMER CONCERTS
Celebrate St. Louis Summer Concerts, presented by Fair Saint Louis will be held the two weekends following Fair Saint Louis. All concerts will be held at Soldiers' Memorial.
