ST. LOUIS (KSDK)- A north St. Louis crash late Thursday remains under investigation after one of two drivers involved ran a red light and collided with a second car.

The impact flipped the speeding car onto its top, where it then slid on the roof nearly a block. The crash occurred around 11:50 p.m. last night on North Florissant at Salisbury Street.

Witnesses told police a northbound car on Florissant struck the front end of the second car, causing minor damage, but flipping the other car upside down.

The driver in the car that rolled tried to run from the scene but was apprehended a short time later.

No names released and only minor injuries were reported.
