ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - St. Louis homicide detectives said theman gunned down at a south city 7-Eleven was a store clerk.

The shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. in the 5600 block of Gravois Avenue at the intersection of Bates Street.

A customer called police to report seeing the clerk lying on the floor and bleeding. The victim, identified as 30-year-old Mon Rai, was rushed to a local hospital with a gunshot wound to his back and died a short time later.

Police have not said if any money was taken before or after the shooting.
