ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (KSDK) - The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office charged a 20-year-old Florissant man on Monday in connection to several armed robberies in the north county area.

According to court documents, St. Louis County police responded to a robbery at the Dollar General in the 6800 block of Parker Road on February 23. While officers responded to that incident, a second robbery occurred in the 12200 block of Chesapeake Drive, just behind the business.

The victim in that second robbery told police a man approached her as she exited her vehicle and brandished a firearm. The man demanded the victim's property and then fled the scene.

Detectives with the Florissant and St. Louis County police departments determined the two were linked, and connected to a rash of street and business robberies in the area.

The suspect, Joshua Cosby, was identified and arrested by Florissant police on February 28.
