ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - St. Louis police have released surveillance photos from the7-Eleven store clerk shooting early Monday morning.

Thirty-year-old Mon Rai was shot and killed around 12:30 a.m. Monday at the 7-Elevn store in the 5600 block of Gravois.

The images show a possible witness to the crime and a suspect.

The witness is described as a black male with a medium brown complexion, standing between 5'9" and 5'11" tall. He has a medium-length afro on top with close-cut sides. He has a thing build and facial hair.

The suspect is described as a man of unknown race, who appears to have a light complexion. He stands between 5'6" and 5'9" tall with a medium to stocky build. He was last seen wearing a black jacket with grey accents, black pants, black tennis shoes, black gloves, and a black ski mask. He carried a silver, semi-automatic handgun.

Police believe the description of the suspect's jacket is very important because it is believed to be very unique.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of the witness or the suspect is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS. People would also like to hear from anyone who was in the store between 11:30 p.m. June 9 and 12:30 a.m. June 10.

A fund has been established to benefit Mon Rai's family. Contributions can be made to any Southern Commercial Bank branch. Checks should be made payable to the Mon Rai Family.
