St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - It took a St. Louis jury less than two hour Tuesday to convict a south city teenager of murdering a Sumner High School football star in 2010.

18 year old Terron Pool was found guilty of first degree murder and armed criminal action in the September 24, 2010 shooting death of 17 year old Rahmal McNeil.

McNeil was shot in the chest several times after a fight he was involved in with another teen in the 4000 block of West Belle Place.

Authorities say Pool was watching the two teens battle when he pulled a gun and began shooting McNeil.

Pool was arrested after the crime and was later certified to stand trial as an adult, since he was only 15 at the time of the murder.

The sentencing phase of Pool's trial resumes this morning in St. Louis Circuit Court.
