ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (KSDK) -Two South County AT&T employees were tied up during an armed robbery Wednesday morning.

According to St. Louis County police spokesman George Vaughn, officers were dispatched at 9:50 a.m. to a robbery at the AT&T store at 7345 South Lindbergh.

The two robbers arrived at the store in a beige or brown vehicle, possibly a larger Buick, which was parked in the alley onto Lemay Ferry, said Vaughn.

One robber, wearing a tan boonie-style hat and blue or green shirt, showed a handgun. Police said the robbers were last seen heading out of the store's south exit.

St. Louis County police say shortly after information regarding the robbery was released, Illinois State Police stopped a vehicle off of Interstate 55 that matched the description of the suspects' vehicle.

One woman, believed to be involved in the robbery, was taken into custody in Troy, Illinois.

Two men ran from the vehicle during the traffic stop. They have not been apprehended. Police say they should be considered armed and dangerous.

Police said numerous cell phones and other items connected to the robbery were recovered inside the vehicle.

Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS.
