ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - Millions of Egyptians poured onto the streets of Cairo Wednesday evening (Cairo Time) to celebrate the removal of President Mohammed Morsi from power by military coup.

With the military intervention only just beginning and the next phase of Egypt's political history yet to be written, NewsChannel 5 contacted Dr. Morris Kalliny from St. Louis University's John Cook School of Business to come down to First at Four to give us some perspective on what's going on right now In Cairo.

Kalliny, who was born in Egypt, has friends in Cairo taking part in the protests. He talks to Kay Quinn about what he's hearing from his contacts in Egypt and how social media has fueled not only this uprising, but the Arab Spring as a whole.
