ST. CHARLES COUNTY (KSDK) - A Wentzville, Mo. teen was sentenced to prison time for raping and molesting four children attending his mother's in-home daycare.
Jacob Dolson, 18, was sentenced to 30 years in prison for seven counts of statutory sodomy, one count of statutory rape, and one count of child molestation.
Dolson was 17 when the crimes occurred at various times in 2012. The victims ranged in ages from 3 to 9-years-old at the time.
"What these children had to endure is incomprehensible," said prosecutor Tim Lohmar. "The victims and their families all have strong support systems surrounding them, and we can only hope that eventually they can find some peace and normalcy once again."
Dolson pleaded guilty to the crimes last year. He spent approximately one year in jail in St. Charles County, but was allowed back home to await sentencing after pleading guilty.
Parents in the area were upset Dolson was allowed back home, despite wearing a GPS monitoring device so the court could track his movement. A high school is at the end of his street, a middle school is located behind his neighborhood, and two elementary schools are less than one mile from his home.
Missouri law states Dolson must serve at least 85 percent of his sentence and will be required to register for life as a sex offender.
