ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Ill. (KSDK) - The St. Clair County Sheriff's Department is investigating a hit-and-run that left a 9-year-old boy in critical condition.

The boy, identified as Fabian Teson,was riding his bike Thursday around 12:30 p.m. in the 2300 block of Lorraine Drive in an unincorporated area of Cahokia, Ill. when he was hit by a late '90s silver or gray Pontiac Grand Am, Grand Prix, or Chevrolet Malibu.

Neither the driver nor the car stayed at the crash scene.

The driver is described as a black male wearing a white t-shirt.
