ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - The 18th annual Big Muddy Blues Festival is this weekend.
The event will take place Labor Day weekend,and runs Saturday, Aug. 31 and Sunday, Sept. 1.
Local bands and national headliners will take the Budweiser main stage, located at 700 N. First Street.
The Reverend Horton Heat will headline the event on Saturday this year, and local guitarist Anthony Gomes, Billboard Magazine's #1 Blues Artist will open for the band.
On Sunday, Blues guitarist Walter Trout will perform at 7 p.m.
Local bands scheduled to perform include Billy Peek, Big George Brock, Jeremiah Johnson Band & The Sliders, Marquise Knox, Soulard Blues Band, Miss Jubilee & the Humdingers, Bible Belt Sinners, Bike Mike Aguirre & the Blues Allstars, and Inner city Blues Band.
