St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - St. Louis Police are filing reports and looking for evidence into the person or persons responsible for more than a dozen overnight car break-in's.

The crime spree started off around 12:30 a.m. Monday at a downtown area hotel where seven vehicles were vandalized in the lot of the Holiday Inn Express in the 2600 block of Lafayette Avenue.

Not long after, an unknown number of vehicles were clouted in theparking area nearthe Lumiere Place Casino on Lacledes Landing.

Just before 2:00 a.m., the area around Market and Vandeventer was hit, with police investigating another four break-in crimes.

The around 3:00 a.m. officers were called to investigate another half dozen vehicle break-in's in the area of Olive and North Garrison just east of the St. Louis University campus.
