ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (KSDK) - The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office charged a 30-year-old Arnold man in connection with a recent bank robbery in south county.
According to Officer Rick Eckhard, a spokesman for the St. Louis County Police Department, the bank robbery occurred at 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24 at the First Missouri Credit Union in the 1600 block of Lemay Ferry Road. The suspect did not produce a weapon and no one was injured in the robbery.
Following a brief investigation, police apprehended Edward Starns on Friday, July 26 at the America's Best Value Inn Hotel on S. Lindbergh. Police found Starns in possession of what they believed to be heroin, Eckhard said.
Edward Starns was charged Saturday with one count of second-degree robbery and one count of possession of a controlled substance. He remains jailed on $100,000 cash-only bond.
