ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - Working out can take a lot out of you, but it can also fill you up.
"It seems like I've been studying for it my whole life," said Chris Brown, the owner of I Love Life Training. He's a guy who has struggled with his weight since he was 5-years-old.
"I'm a yoyo dieter. I'm a tried and true professional yoyo dieter," said Brown.
Over the years he's lost more than 900 pounds, only to regain most of them.
"It definitely took a mental and physical toll when I'd lose the weight and gain it back," Brown said.
So this time he did things differently.
"The biggest change I went through was from the inside out," said Brown.
He made gradual changes over the last two years with his diet and his workout routine.
"The biggest thing was the mind set," he added.
He's not only kept it off this time around, but he made a career change and is now sharing what he's learned with others.
"His story is motivating from what he's gone through and made it a life style and he's more of a life coach. It's not just about working out it's about eating habits and really changing your life," explained Jaci Barrett who's been training with him for six months.
After all, heavy lifting is always easier when you have someone to help.
