ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - The Superintendent of Catholic Education for the Archdiocese of St. Louis announced he will step down from his position next year.

George Henry said he would leave his position June 30, after serving for almost a decade in the position.

Henry served as the associate superintendent for Catholic Elementary Schools prior to this position for 17 years.

A spokeswoman with the Archdiocese of St. Louis said that search committee will be formed immediately and hopes to have someone in place before Henry leaves.
