ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - The bill to re-open the government has left thousands of furloughed federal workers in the metro with questions. Many are calling their departments and looking on websites to figure out if they're supposed to report to work in the morning.
USDA furloughed worker Sheila Harrison has been calling a 1-800 number to try and get an update. But, she's also in the dark about when she'll get paid.
The bill promises all furloughed federal employees will receive retroactive pay but it doesn't specify when the checks will be cut.
"I need my money right away. There's still bills that I had to put on hold that are waiting," Harrison said.
More than two million federal workers will be paid; those who had remained on the job and those who had been furloughed.
