ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - A City of St. Louis parking attendant is accused of stealing money from the Office of the Treasurer she collected from customers paying for parking tickets.
Susan Marian Stewart, 49, is charged with 13 counts of felony stealing.
Court documents accuse Stewart of collecting money from customers in exchange for parking tickets, and then keeping the money instead of turning it over to the Treasurer's Office at the end of her shift.
The alleged crimes happened Oct. 19, 2012, Dec. 12, 2012, and April 14, 2013. Stewart is accused of stealing more than $500 on each of the dates.
Stewart was assigned to the Kiel Garage in the 1500 block of Clark. Other employees are accused of conspiring with Stewart to steal the money. Authorities say phone records, text messages, and statement from employees show Stewart received a share of the money.
