ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - Confluence Charter Schools staff is investigating a report of two students inappropriately touching on a school bus.

The principal of Confluence Academy-Walnut Park was notified of the incident Oct. 15. Details surrounding the inappropriate touching have not been disclosed.

Confluence staff have notified the school resource officer, who is participating in the investigation.

"As always, our first priority is the safety and welfare of every student," said Nez Savala, director of public relations for Confluence Charter Schools. "We understand the concerns of the families involved and we are taking the situation seriously."

A letter was sent home Thursday to parents with students at the Walnut Park campus.
