KSDK - Have you ever made a mistake? If not, congratulations (and you're probably a liar...)! If so, Thursday could be a day of redemption.
National Mulligan Day is celebrated every Oct. 17. If you're not a golfer, a mulligan is a chance to tee-off again after a bad shot. Beyond golf, the term has been adopted to describe nearly any kind of do-over or second chance.
Some golf clubs offer National Mulligan Day promotions, where players who come out for the holiday can get a free pass to play again the next day. Non-golfers use the day for other do-overs, from trying to rekindle a failed relationship to picking up a forgotten hobby.
The Cardinals have two mulligans this weekend, when they have the chance to secure a World Series berth by winning just one more game in their best of seven series against the Dodgers.
