ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - The "corpse flower" has finally bloomed at the Missouri Botanical Garden.
The Garden will open Friday 9 a.m. for viewing of the Titan Arum flower and is included in regular admission. Because of the timing, evening viewings will not be available for the public.
The flower has been given its nickname name due to its smell is similar to the scent of decomposing flesh.
The flower blooms for only 12 hours and is only one of hundreds that is grown in the United States. They bloom every seven to 10 years.
