JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. (KSDK) - Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies arrested two men connected to two robberies earlier this week after one called to turn the other in.

Joshua Benton and Patrick Rubach face first-degree robbery charges for crimes at a Circle K Convenience store in High Ridge and Steak n Shake in Fenton.

According to Jefferson County deputies, Benton called them to report Rubach, who is also his roommate, committed the crimes.

According to authorities, late Tuesday night, someone entered the Circle K, wearing a bandana and flashing a weapon demanded money. After being denied twice, the robber left. Early Wednesday morning, a man with a similar description entered a Steak n Shake demanding money from the register and left after being declined.

After investigating both men, deputies found both men involved in the robberies, according to a press release.
