KSDK – You already know that he or she probably makes more money to you, but here's something that will add salt to the wound: Your boss is probably happier too.

That's according to a new Pew Research study, which found that bosses were more likely than the average worker to be satisfied with their family life, current job and financial situation.

The survey followed 2,002 adults between Oct. 7 and 27. In addition to the above findings, it also found that bosses were just as likely as their employees to think gender equality exists in the workplace, and considered themselves far more satisfied than the average worker with their current situation.

Bosses were more likely to feel satisfied with their pay, and less likely to want to leave their current position. Part of it might be attributable to age: on average, bosses are eight years older than workers (47 vs. 39).

The analysis also found that your boss is probably a white man, with 16 percent of all whites claiming to be a boss, compared with 6 percent of blacks and 4 percent of Hispanics.
