Warrenton, MO (KSDK) -- Police believe they may have captured the suspect of a bank robbery in Warrenton, Chief Greg Houdyshell of the Warrenton Police Department said Tuesday.

Around 12:30 p.m. on Monday, a female suspect walked into the First Community Bank located on the 1000 block of North Highway 47.

The suspect handed a bank envelope to a teller, that had writing on it conveying her robbery announcement. The note demanded hundred dollar and twenty dollar bills. It also had someramblingtext about Lebanon, Pennsylvania.

No weapon was indicated or displayed.

The teller handed the suspect an undetermined amount of cash and the suspect fled the scene, entering a gold colored minivan.

The van left the scene and headed north on I-70. Witnesses claim the van nearly collided with several vehicles and almost rana vehicleoff the road on its way to I-70.

Police say that forty-five minutes after the robbery, a suspect was apprehended by Missouri State Highway Patrol at the Days Inn in Kingdom City, after several phone calls of a careless and imprudent driver on I-70. The trooper discovered the suspect was wanted for a bank robbery in Pennsylvania, andtook her into custody. The arresting officer says the suspect was allegedly intoxicated.

Police searched the suspects vehicle and hotel room and found substantial amounts of US currency.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation spoke with the suspect and she made statements implicating her in the Warrenton robbery.

The case is still under investigation by Warrenton police.

Charges are pending.
