St. Louis (KSDK) - Lane closures on the Eads Bridge will begin Monday, October 1 to allow for work to rehabilitate the support structure of the 138-year-old bridge.

During the work only one lane of traffic will be open in each direction. Drivers should allow extra time for commutes or consider using the Martin Luther King Bridge or the Poplar Street Bridge.

All Eads Bridge rehabilitation work is expected to be complete by the fall of 2015.
