Edwardsville, IL (KSDK) - The Madison County State's Attorney's Office charged two Metro East men for last week's alleged attack on a 55-year-old patron at a Collinsville bar.

According to Captain T. Mike Dixon, spokesman for the Madison County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to Adrie and Tiny's Bar just before 3:20 a.m. on Saturday, October 7. Deputies met with the victim and several witnesses, who explained that the attack was unprovoked.

The witnesses said the two suspects knocked the victim to the ground and began kicking and stomping on him.

Dixon said the victim was taken to a St. Louis-area hospital to be treated for multiple facial fractures. He has since been released from the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.

Investigators were eventually able to identify the suspects as 23-year-old Douglas Totty of Fairmont City and 24-year-old David Anderson of Collinsville, Dixon said. Totty and Anderson were located and arrested on October 12.

Both Anderson and Totty were charged with aggravated battery. A judge set their bond at $25,000 each. David Anderson posted his bond and was released from jail. Douglas Totty remains in custody at the Madison County Jail.
