St. Louis (KSDK) -- Children are invited to participate in the 2012 Mayor's Holiday Card Contest.

The winning design will be reproduced and used as the cover of Mayor Francis Slay's holiday card. The top entries will also be on display at city hall.

The card should capture the holiday spirit in St. Louis and be appropriate for all religions.

Children ages 12 and under should create their designs with crayon, water colors, paints, pencil ink, markers, or colored pencil. The cards should be no larger than 8.5" x11" and be sent to the mayor's office by Wednesday, November 28. Entrants should include their name, address, phone number, school, grade, and age.

The top10 finalists and their families and teachers will be invited to a special ceremony in the mayor's office.
