St. Louis (KSDK) -- Several St. Louis businesses and organizations have partnered to create #STLforSandy, to collect donations for Hurricane Sandy relief.

People can also drop off donations on November 9 at Kirkwood Commons at 1202 South Kirkwood Road in Kirkwood from 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Donations can also be dropped in front of Soldier's Memorial at 1315 Chestnut Street in St. Louis from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m Friday and from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Donations will be accepted at all St. Louis City Firehouses from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

List of items needed:

• baby and adult diapers, baby formula
• non-perishable food
• blankets
• toiletries
• bottled water
• pet food
• pet bowls
• kitty litter
• wet wipes
• work gloves
• cleaning supplies, including bleach
• heavy duty garbage bags
• disinfectant
• batteries (C's and D's)
• flashlights
• candles
• large plastic containers with lids
• tarps, hammers, nails, screwdrivers & other basic tools

All donated items will be driven to New Jersey on November 10 to help those affected by the hurricane.
