But Friday night the party is at City Hall. The Mardi Gras Inc. folks have put together 25 whiskeys, 30 beers and more than 100 wines for people to taste.
Ticket to the wine, whiskey and beer taste cost $40 at the door and takes place from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Saturday afternoon City Hall becomes the sight of the Cajun Cook-Off. Ten professionals and ten amateurs will compete to create the best cajun/creole dish.
The competition runs from noon until 4 p.m. and tickets cost $40.
